* The 3rd Annual Polar Bear Dip in Support of the Cape Breton Transition House

* When: Sunday, December 15th at 12pm

* Where: East Bay Sand Bar

* What: Members of our community will be taking the plunge in support of the Cape Breton Transition House and the women and children they support.

* Each person who takes the DIP is encouraged to donate 5 gifts!

* Dippers are asked to spread the word- reaching out to families, friends, and co-workers.

* How can you help? Dip! Gather a team of co-workers or friends. Donate a gift- you can drop your gift off to the CB Transition House Office OR show up at the event with your gift! The Transition House Foundation is dedicated to raising funds in support of the programs, community outreach, public awareness and educational campaigns conducted everyday at Cape Breton Transition House, Willow House - a safe haven for women and children escaping abusive or unsafe home situations.

* CBTHA Willow House receives funding support through the fundraising efforts of the Friends of Transition House Foundation (Society).

* The objects of the Foundation are:
   

* To raise money to support projects and programs of the Cape Breton Transition House Association 

* To acquire money or furnishings and goods for use in the Cape Breton Transition House

* To acquire by way of grant, gift, purchase, bequest, devise, or otherwise, real and personal property and to use and apply such property to the realization of the objects of the Society.
